For Our Guests

When you arrive on a Sunday morning, you are welcome to park anywhere you like. We even have some guest parking up front that you can take advantage of.  If you need to do a drop-off, we have a drive-under canopy in front of our auditorum foyer.  Please feel free to use the drop-off, if you like.

Upon arrival, you will see our main auditorium separate from our classroom annex. You are welcome to come on in our auditorum lobby and enjoy some coffee, tea, or water from our Carpenter's Cafe.  Have a light snack, too.  (And, of course, bathrooms are available.)

In the meantime, we will gently want to meet you and make you feel comfortable and relaxed.  Ask us any questions that you might have.  Take a look at our information boards, catch up on news by scanning some of our various information bulletins, and generally get a comfortable feel.  We are glad you are visiting us.

What about Bible Classes for my kids?

On Sunday mornings, we have Bible Classes for all ages from toddlers and preschoolers on up to old age folks - the whole range.  If your children are from preschoolers up to High School, then we have Bible Classes for them in our classroom annex.  Cradle Roll and others meet upstairs - all graded classes meet downstairs.

Make your way over to the annex where you can find a class for all ages.  Teachers and helpers will be waiting for you to assist you in finding the right place for your kids.

What do I wear?

No matter what your personal style, you’ll be comfortable at NSCofC. If you prefer dressy, business, or casual attire, chances are there will be others dressed much like you no matter when you visit. Sure, Sunday mornings are a time when many prefer to dress up a bit, but even if jeans are more your style, you’ll be right at home with us.

Preschoolers and children learn while they play. We encourage hands on play so that children are learning through all their senses. Painting and other “messy” activities are also encouraged, so use your own judgment about how dressed up your child is while with us.

Our Middle and High School students usually dress casually.

Bottom line - we want you to be comfortable.  We don't expect you to dress up for us.

What do I do with my child during Assembly Worship?

If you have a baby or two (some of our members have twins!), we have two nursery facilities in the rear of our auditorium.  One is reserved for feeding mothers - a couch, changing table, low lights, no men, and quiet.  The other is reserved for toddlers and is tended by two of our volunteers (to keep the mayhem down) while you participate in worship in the main auditorim. Please avail yourself, as needed, to either service.

For your kids who a little bit older, we are happy to be able to offer 'Children's Story Time'.  This runs at the same time as our Assembly Worship.  It is located in the classroom annex downstairs.  This special time - with trained and dedicated teachers - is offered to you for your children who are ages 3 - 5 years old.

What is Assembly Worship like?

On Sunday mornings, we like to have everyone inside and in their places on time so we can begin our Assembly Worship at 10:15am in the auditorium.  We will sing and pray together, participate in the Lord's Supper (you may participate as you feel a need or as you are comfortable - you are welcome to participate), listen to a sermon from the Bible, and generally do that which encourages and strengthens people who have come together because of a common belief in God.

You can sit in front or back, sing out loud or sit quietly, follow along in the Bibles provided or just listen, and take it all in.  As you have honored us with your presence, we also want you to feel comfortable - but challenged - by our community worship to and with God.

At times, men, women, teenagers, boys, and girls may actively participate in our assemblies in one fashion or another. We encourage all - regardless of gender or age - to actively participate and lead us in our assemblies.

Our service usually last about 75 minutes - 10:15am until 11:30am - on Sunday mornings.

How can I become a member of the North Stafford church?

Of course, we are all about wanting to include as many good people as possible in our church.  Placing membership is not a requirement but it is nice to know that a person or family has decided that they want to be identified to other church members as active and supporting new members.

To become a member, it takes nothing more than a conversation with one of our church or worship leaders and we will be glad to connect you in, so to speak.

We hope that we can support and help you as much as we hope that, perhaps, you can help us learn and grow, too.  Thanks for wanting to be apart of us at NSCofC.
